Simple this one.  Pop to a coastal location in the early autumn with a shingly beach and a funny shaped brick hut near the shore.  Gently move towards man on beach.  Not just any man.  Man must be wearing ‘dad’ clothes, staring at the sea through a metal tube, mumbling to his companion.  Get close enough to man to hear if he is auditioning for the speaking clock.  11 o’ clock, 12 o’clock, 1 o’clock, close in, 12 o’clock.  Use his timely directions to look at the sea.  Follow clock face to locate what he is talking about and…  Bonxie!  Result!

That is exactly how I managed to get a Norfolk tick a few weeks ago.
