Not just one – there were three bloody wheatears bombing round the patch this lunchtime!  Just after I’d supermagicallyrealisticallypredicted the same!

  1. Hi thing, weather looks great for Denes visible migration the rest of this week – light south-westerlies to push everything up to the coast, cloud to keep everything down etc.. These were the conditions that produced some killer late March mornings during my brief spell of Denes patching – hundreds of finches/pipits/wagtails, thousands of pigeons/corvids, cool stuff like tree sparrows and crossbills etc. If you can manage a few dawn visits, I’d definitely recommend it!
